World Concept
ROSE Online is a World of Seven Planets that draws visual and thematic inspiration from fairy tales, fantasy, science fiction novels and literary works involving a quest for truth and meaning.
The main theme of ROSE online is the story of the Visitors: creatures created by the Goddess Arua to save her seven planets. The story begins with the struggle between Goddess Arua, the creator of the Planets of the Seven Hearts, and the Goddess Hebarn, her jealous rival and current master of the seventh planet. Each planet has its own unique theme; the area between them is referred to as The Sea of Spirit.
The World of Junon - A world similar to Earth, plant, animal and human life springs abundantly on this world. It is also on this world where Visitors spring into being.
Junon is ruled by the mighty Acram Kingdom and six powerful Unions. These seven groups form the main basis of political power on Junon.
The six unions: The Acram Kingdom, Phralle Merchant Guild, Arumic Researchers, the Disciples of Icanes Gypsy Bands, The Holy Junon Order and the Righteous Knights greatly influence economy, culture, military, religion and politics. According to their various agendas they form alliances and fight feuds among each other.
Since the development of the Mana Engine, a new age has dawned on Junon. It has seen the advent of motorized Carts and powerful engines of destruction called Castle Gears. In the face of increasing monster attacks, Flying Vessels have also been constructed to provide advance warning to the people of Junon and to travel to other planets to find the source of the monster infestation.
The World of Luna - Rich in Mana, the source of all magic, Luna is a marvelous crescent shaped world, whose ground is covered with ice due to the low temperatures that abound throughout the world.
There is only one town here, Yuca, where people can obtain various magical goods. The Arumic Researchers are based in this town.
Two factions vie for power in Luna: The Shamans and the Magicians. Although powerful, the Shamans position of power in Luna is under threat due to the activities of the Magician faction.
The World of Eldeon - Eldeon means "legend". A huge tree grows in the middle of this planet. The arboreal environment lends a dreamlike quality to those viewing the thick forests that are the main feature of this planet.
Eldeon's main city is divided into two parts: The Surface City and the Underground City . Outside the walls of the Surface City a strange fog lingers around the trees giving things an eerie feel. Despite the high and muggy temperatures, opportunities for adventure abound on Eldeon, making it an adventurer's paradise.
The World of Orlo (coming soon) - Orlo is a planet of gold, like El Dorado of legend. Though it has a similar climate to Junon, the high presence of gold in the soil only allows certain kinds of plants to live here. Volcanoes stand tall in the skyline, the gold reflecting off their slopes giving an air of ruggedness to the entire planet.
A golden city exists on Orlo, but the people there are usually unhappy. Other people are here mostly to mine the gold that is found everywhere on Orlo.
The World of Karkia (coming soon) - It is a Festival Planet where Splendor coexists with nihility. Though it has the most spectacular amusement park in the Planets of the Seven Hearts, it also has one of the biggest slums.
The World of Ska (coming soon) - A resort planet consisting of many islands, where one can find the ideal environment for rest and relaxation. It is for many, however the last bastion of light before attempting to cross over to the last and darkest planet.
The World of Hebarn (coming soon) - Wrested from the Goddess Arua by Hebarn, the Dark Goddess rules supreme on this world. No one lives here for very long.
The Story
Like the multifaceted rose in The Little Prince, The Seven Planets of ROSE Online have many aspects: Beauty and passion, danger and romance, plots and planets. Those who explore the beauty of ROSE must also be wary of the thorns hidden within!
The Gods Story revolves around Arua, Junon and Hebarn. The actions of the three Gods influenced everything in the Planets of the Seven Hearts.
It begins when Arua is designated the Creator Goddess by the Council of Gods.
However with Arua's ascension to Creator, other Gods who opposed her appointment voiced their dissent, but they were unable to change the decision of the Council of Gods.
With the mandate Arua has from the Council of Gods, she begins creation of the Seven Planets with seven aspects of her mind. Here she hopes to house the Gods.
Hebarn, however, jealous of her rival Arua's ascension to Creator, subverts the Council's wishes and manages to secretly copy the Creator powers from Arua, which she then uses to corrupt the seventh planet and spread her darkness to the other six.
Arua however, is unaware of the threat to her worlds until the Council of Gods reprimands her for her inaction in the spreading darkness among her worlds.
With his lover Arua's work and position as Creator being threatened, Junon at first tried to counter the growing darkness of Hebarn with his own power. However that was not enough. So, he decided to create seven humans imbued with his powers and sent them to the first world, Junon. Though their efforts they were able to prove Arua's innocence before the Council of Gods.
Her first plot foiled, Hebarn hatches a new one and insists that Arua did not manage her creatures well, thus causing the Darkness to spread among the worlds. Arua would not have been able to refute Hebarn's arguments in the Council had it not been for Junon who once more stepped in to defend his lover. His efforts managed to buy Arua some time to deal with Hebarn's treachery.
Unaware of what exactly is going on, Arua creates Visitors to help her bring Hebarn's plots to light. They are first sent to Junon, where their story begins.
Features
Basic Features
The ultimate goal in ROSE Online is to discover your heritage as a Visitor, and to take an active part in the destiny of the Planets of the Seven Hearts (as the inhabitants of the Seven Planets call it) as the main story unfolds. Depending on what you find out and what you do, you may either be involved in the main story or create your own tale.
- You can equip any weapon regardless of your class, as long as you meet the weapon's requirements.
- All jobs have access to ranged weapons.
- All stats are important and contribute to a character's effectiveness.
- Walk and run speed are selectable.
- Armor and weapon equipment worn is visible.
- Stat Reset available through NPC up until Lv 15.
- Skill Reset available through NPC.
- Highly customizable look with common clothes and job clothes. Three different attack animations per character, per weapon.
- Monster difficulty sorted by color.
- Parties encouraged with each type of job having skills that can contribute to party success.
- Realistic game economy that adjusts according to supply and demand.
- A server has several channels to prevent lag and player congestion.
Dance Scrolls
Rose Online has a set of very nice items that allows your character to dance. Each scroll has a different set of dance moves and these can be purchased in Junon Polis. Dress up nice, grab a scroll, and break out some moves for your friends.
Goddess Summoning System
Once in awhile, the fairy of Arua will appear to a player to help. She will increase the HP and MP of her chosen player. The chance to get the aid of the Arua fairy is random, but she will aid you someday if you continue with your adventures.
Skill Booster System
The skill booster system was created to balance skill progression in each job. This is to maintain the balance of the game to ensure that high skill levels cannot be gained without the appropriate levels. The characters start getting skill points at Lv 10 and gain new skill points every 4 levels after that (10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, etc). Each increase in skill costs 1 skill point and a certain amount of zulie. The zulie cost depends on the skill and the level of the skill.
GODS and HEROES
Gods
Gods are generally believed to be perfect beings of flawless beauty and virtue. But in reality, Gods have feelings, and enjoy having various experiences. Like humans, they laugh, cry, feel anger, and love.
It was the through the love and imagination of the goddess Arua that the seven planets were created, but it is the jealousy and anger of the god Hebarn that threatens to consume the light of the seven planets with darkness.
Fortunately, Arua's lover, the god Junon, is aware of Hebarn's intent and is working to protect her from his evil. Therefore, he is deeply involved in events which will affect the human inhabitants of the seven planets. As the patron god of adventurers, Junon is also responsible for the appearance of heroes in times of crisis.
Heroes
Throughout history, Heroes are recognized as people who have accomplished great achievements.
Generally, they tend to be people of strength and moral character. In R.O.S.E Online, heroes worship Junon, the patron god of adventure, and deliver his message to the earth by adventuring all around the 7 planets. Every faction keeps a historical record of the heroes affiliated with that faction, as well as mementos of their exploits. Users are able to check these histories once they join a faction.
